I myself never thrived in inactivity + naturally long to be at my job again.
We hear that they are ‘going strong’ at Shokwa Hospital again after the Summer Vacation – 12 operations in a morning! Truly there is a good need for an hospital there.
Will you consider the possibility of us returning in February? I’ll undergo a preliminary overhaul medically, if you so will so as to clean the air as to the real state of health. It is of course important for us to know well in advance when we are to go out again. For instance, if it is Feb, we’ll probably make some preparation at Reigate + not return to Selly Oak after Xmas. On the other hand, I’ll have to plan a more definite program in England if I’m to be held up till the following late summer.
I now attend some lectures at the B’ham medical school & do professional reading, but that is hardly sufficient when I’m back to normal!
I would wish to know of any contemplated changes of Policy abroad which would be likely to affect on our careers, though

　我正在伯明翰醫學院上一些課程及研讀一些專業資料，但是我身體恢復後，這樣恐不夠！
　儘管我認為海外政策不會有什麼變動，但若有變動請知會我一聲，因這些可能進而影響我們職涯。
