With regard to future activities, if there is any matter you consider should be talked over, I can arrange for a visit to Russell Sq. any day.
We (Mrs. M and myself) hope to be allowed to return East in Spring. I’m already almost fit. Naturally we are interested to know if there is any news which directly or indirectly concerns our own lives + work as to the future policies of the Mission. I am sorry I was not able to attend the conferences etc. last July when I understand such matters were dealt with. The Mission Council, I do know, spent plenty of time, though & ink in preparing documents for home perusal. But as the burden was “reinforcements” I doubt if they have much more than academic interest. Our peculiar concern is the place of our future activities, as spite troubles & sickness, I’m still keen on the work so long as I feel I’m wanted.

　我們（太太與我）希望能於春天時回到遠東去，我身體已經好的差不多了。當然，我們會想知道宣教會未來政策是否直接或間接影響我們生活及工作。我很遺憾我無法於去年7月親自參加這些會議。我知道宣教士理事會花費不少時間與心力，提供我們相關文件資料在家閱讀，但因為這次主要擔憂的是有無「增援」，我覺得他們頂多對學術資料感興趣罷了。我們主要擔憂的是未來活動地點，即便自己身體微恙且歷經不少麻煩，我仍然很嚮往這份工作。
