Dear Dr. Maclagan,
I have just seen R. H. Mumford and been favourably impressed. He is a quiet thoughtful fellow: not brilliant, in fact he had difficulty with some of his examinations due partly to his war service having made study difficult. I shall be able to give you more information in this point when I have seen the Dean of the Medical Faculty.
