Dear Dr. Mumford,
Thanks for your letter. I had judged from the fact that you were out when I called at the Hospital that you were going on satisfactorily, and I am glad to have your own account of your case.
With regard to financial adjustments, Mr. Graham tells me that all that he needs is a note of the date on which you arrived in this country. I will ask Mr. Graham to pay into your account the amount you have paid for Hospital fees.
It is of course your duty to diet and take rest until your convalescence is over, and I am certainly not going to suggest any deputation work meanwhile.

　你現在責任就是要好好地控制飲食並休養身體，我在這段期間也不會跟你提及代理工作。
