Dr. David Landsborough was born in Kilmarnock, Scotland, son of Reverend David Landsborough II (1826-1912), Reverend of Henderson Free Church, named Kay Park Parish Church of Scotland today, in Kilmarnock for 61 years. His Grandfather, Reverend David Landsboroiugh (1779-1854) started the High Kirk in Stevenston. Dr. David Landsborough III accomplished with Reverend Campbell N. Moody arrived in Taiwan in 1895, they co-worked closely to start the Gospel mission in Changhua. Today, Changhua Christian Hospital is one of the largest Medical Center in central Taiwan. He and his wife, Marjorie Ellen (learner) Landsborough retired in 1936 and back to the UK, their home in Redhill, England named “Formosa”.
