In 1896, Dr. David Landsborough III and Rev. Campbell N. Moody started the medical mission clinic on 24th November in a rental house in Changhua City.

After efforts by the other missionaries and local disciples to raise a fund to construct a formal hospital building, the first-generation Changhua Christian Hospital building was finished in 1907 and named "British Changhua Christian Hospital".

The hospital has offered medical service to central Taiwan for 126 years - all blessings by God.
