Taoism (道教) has developed over 2,000 years in Chinese culture; Buddhism (佛教) has a 2000-year history in Chinese society origin from ancient India.

Both Taoism and Buddhism and the other local religions are very popular in Taiwan. Muslims also developed well in Taiwan.
